They asked this question on the baseball board. I started collecting Sullivan when I read about him being the last bare knuckle heavy weight champion.

I collect IBHOF inductees and worldwide type cards. Within the type cards I try to get Joe Louis and Benny Leonard.

I know you collected a boxer that you're related to. Is it Benny Leonard? I can't remember. |

Ray Miller. My avatar. But I don't even think of that as a collecting thing, more of a family thing.

I collect Primo Carnera boxing cards, but not actively. Mainly due to the connection to wrestling.

Always been a set collector, but I definitely target certain boxers first, usually the ones I think are undervalued in the way I tend to value athletes based on how they performed instead of other factors. Guys like Jeffries, Ketchel, Fitzsimmons that are only slightly over a common or commons, and true commons like Packey McFarland that were great talents. I have a strange obsession with Johnny Frayne because his T220 Silver Border is my favorite boxing card.
Going with your Sullivan theme, I'll leave a not rare Sullivan cabinet I recently picked up after re-reading Michael Isenberg's biography of him. There's a Corbett that looks just like this and also labels him "champion of the world", so I presume this is mid-late 1890's, but I'm not very knowledgeable on sport Cabinets and CDV's. |

Picked up this Sullivan CDV earlier this year and I think it has become my favorite card of him:

I basically have the same Sullivan front, but I liked reading the back of this one. I tried to blow it up big enough for everyone to read.
