Recently picked up a handful of Phoenix Senators programs and team photos for my collection, including 2 extras of the 1950 yellow font program. The lot also came with a scorebook that kept track of most of the Senators’ 1949 games. Goes perfectly with 1949 team signed ball I already had!
If anyone has anything Phoenix Senators or Arizona-Texas League era stuff they want to sell or even just to show off I’d love to see it! ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Fantastic acquisitions. I also collect artifacts from a pair of defunct minor league teams, therefore I can appreciate the dedication and time towards the hunt. Congratulations on your pick ups and thanks for sharing!

I was in a dark age when Small Traditions did a Phoenix Senators auction in 2015 so I'm hoping some of those will show up again one day. |

I just picked up this 1941 Tigers program off eBay. The seller noted that the original owner had signed his name on the front, but I didn't mind.

Been looking for these magazines for about a decade and scored a lot of ex-library copies.
Six-Man Magazine was annual magazine covering six-man football nationally. Printed by Claxton O'Connor who was the coach at Boy's Latin HS in Baltimore Maryland (and member of the lacrosse hall of fame). Printed semi-annually in 1946-48 and moved to annally I believe in 1949 with 1958 being the final issue. Magazines full of formations, diagrams, pictures, stats etc. At one time six-man football was the fastest growing sport in America and played in every state, now only a handful play with Texas leading the way with over 200 schools playing (IMO it is the best and most exciting form of football). Actively seeking more issues if anyone happens to have any and looking to make some cash. Last edited by ThomasL; 04-11-2020 at 09:43 AM. |

I just picked up a nice lot of 1930s minor league mini pennants. I'm thinking of framing them like this, but with a black background.

So, according to my records, I bought this on ebay on February 2013, but since I found it today, and have no memory of it before, I'm calling it an April pick up...
A supplement from the Scrantonian dated June 13, 1909. I can't find any others on the interwebs, but I haven't put much effore into it, yet. Doug |

I picked up a couple of more pieces of original art from artist Ronnie Joyner. They were featured in the Pirates On Deck magazine in 1996 celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 1971 Championship. To the right of the art is the final product as it appeared in print.

Nothing used to make me think of baseball more as a kid than seeing Mr. Baseball.
Not really what I collect, but when I saw it, I just couldn't resist! Instantly, one of my all time favorite pieces. This will go on the wall for sure. "I must be in the front rooooooow!!" |

I am thrilled to have won this Louisville Slugger mini-bat bank in LOTG's April auction, solely because one of the mini bats is Pete Runnels, who was my favorite Washington Senators player when I was a kid. I think this item is from late 1962 or early 1963, based on the stats for Runnels & Tommy Davis, assuming all of the bats are the ones that originally came with this mini-bat bank, which they appear to be. It's been 20 years or more since I've seen a mini-bat bank with a Runnels bat, and I have long regretted not buying one way back then. Whenever I've gone to big shows like the National, there are usually a couple of dealers who have assorted mini bats for sale that originally came with mini-bat banks; I've always looked for an individual Runnels bat, which would have more or less satisfied me, but never found one. I'm guessing that a Runnels bat was produced for only one year of these mini-bat banks, which is why I found it to be so hard to find.

Beautiful piece... love the blue and yellow color combo. So much nicer with the wood bats, than more recent models with plastic bats.
Great pickup! |
