Default Scanning images for PSA registry... help

As it appears I may have some free time the next couple of weeks I have decided to tackle the project of scanning images of my T206 collection for my PSA set registry. I do not have a scanner (although I may buy one)but I do have an IPhone/IPad. I am not great with technology and need a little guidance to get started. Where would you suggest I start? Do I need a scanner or would one of the IPhone apps be sufficient? Just need a lifting off point

Depending on the quality you want, I'd pick up a scanner. I use an epson v370 that works really well. Not all but virtually all of my scans are on the registry.

Good luck!!

I've done this daunting task - over 1500 entries on the PSA site so far!! I've scanned images using my Canon Pixma printer as well as just uploading photos from my phone to my PC using Dropbox.
Good luck - it will keep you busy!!!

I also scan mine, with an Espon Perfection V300 Photo. I am pleased with the results.

I have an EPSON V 600 and it takes amazing scans.

If you ever sell cards on your own like I do it is also a good investment.

I'd recommend a flatbed scanner. Just be sure you get one that uses CCD technology. It's the only type that can scan depth such as slabbed cards. I use a Cannon CanoScan 9000F Mark2. Here is a helpful article on scanners. http://www.thatt206life.com/2019/03/...-graded-cards/

You could use a cell phone but for the time you invest in doing this task, you won't be completely happy with the results.

Here is what a partial set of scanned cards using the CanoScan for the PSA Registry looks like. This is a set of Joe Namath cards that my girl is a huge fan of. https://www.psacard.com/psasetregist...gallery/311203

Do not use your iPhone. Your results will be inconsistent and not very good. Use a scanner, use the same settings on every single card, and you'll be much happier. You'll get a completely flat view of the card, the angle will be the same every time, and the lighting will be the same. And the results will be much higher quality.

If you want to get the best results scan your cards in the dark with the lid up.

You will get the black background that really makes cards pop.
