O/T Help IDing this issue Football
Hi Gang:
Can anyone please give me info on the below? These are 2 1/4" cloth "patches". I have 10 different teams all NFL. I have the Lions, Redskins, Giants, Packers, Colts, Cardinals, Rams, Browns 49er's and Bears. However there is one exception I also have one with the Tigers??. These were represented as a cereal premium, but I do not know if this true. I know of similar Post Cereal baseball patches from 1955, but I have never seen these football ones. Hopefully someone can give me info on them. I have multiples in a few teams

About the only thing I can say is that it's post-1953. That's when the newest team (the Colts), in your list, was founded. Can you show the other patches so we can see the style of their logo's? That might help. They have the look of the 1950's to them.

The post patches are fairly well printed for the time. The low quality and odd non-licenced logos make me think something like a 50's Cracker Jack prize.
No real info to back that up though.
