Default REA T206 Set Break Auction Is Open For Bidding!

REA is pleased to announce that a special ten day T206 set break auction is now open for bidding. The auction ends Sunday, March 1.

Featuring 608 lots from this popular set, each card is presented individually and graded by either PSA or SGC. All lots open at $5.

- Eddie Plank from Lionel Carter’s collection
- Magie Error
- Demmitt and O’Hara (Lionel Carter collection) St. Louis variations
- Ty Cobb green and red portraits from Lionel Carter’s collection
- 73 additional Hall of Famers
- complete 48-card Piedmont Southern Leaguer subset
- complete 48-card Old Mill Southern Leaguer subset
- complete 34-card Brown Hindu Southern Leaguer subset
- complete 250-card Polar Bear subset
- several interesting printing anomalies including names on top/bottom, parts of two backs showing, and name on image

Initial bids must be placed by 6 PM EST on Sunday, March 1. The auction will end using a new lot by lot closing method starting at midnight EST. Also new for this auction is the acceptance of PayPal and Zelle to pay invoices.

Is it me or some prices on these T206s are already above market? Maybe it the rare backs or just the gorgous colors- Nice cards.
For me it certainly is. I am shot out of the water on my all my max bids.
As someone trying to grab some nice specimens, i am shell-shock, flabergasted, and simply sharded in my draws.

Don't be sharded but some of the prices do look like they are strong. Some have a little ways to go....Good luck to all.

The extra 20% “buyers fee” also seems a bit steep. Make some bids, we’ll see if they hold up!

How is this steep? Standard operating procedure with auction houses.

Sorry still a newbie outside of Ebay and small shows. Guess my point was if the actual prices themselves are seeming to run high factoring in the extra 20% for me is tough. Keep forgetting about that when I’m looking at bids to keep in mind as total out of pocket.
