Technically I picked these items up at the end of last month but since they arrived today I'm posting them for February. The 1952 Leo Durocher Loraine Day easel backed counter top display is 36"X24" and included the original shipping envelope. I am a sucker for this type of 1950s advertising. I have a few others that are similiar in my collection. This is by far the largest. The Clemente family photo is from 1970 and the Duke Snider is a 1956 photo.

Just arrived: pro model bat with what I'm pretty sure is the signature of the Giants' George J Burns (as opposed to the signature of the Tigers' George H. "Tioga" Burns). Always excited to get an old Giants model bat!

Beautiful early Orioles cap. Could you also post it in the B.R. and Baltimore Orioles thread? |

May have just stumbled upon a gem. A 1947-48 National League baseball signed by former commissioner John A. Heydler. The ball itself is almost perfect. Can’t find a single-signed ball of his anywhere, so yay for me!

So on May 2nd, 1954 Stan Musial became the first player to hit 5 HRs in a doubleheader. Attending the game in St. Louis was an 8 year old named Nate Colbert. On August 1st, 1972 he became the second player to achieve the feat. The only two times it has happened. Was able to finally find the Colbert ticket and it's a full. Tough from Atlanta.

Picked up a neat counter display for group outings at Cleveland's old Municipal Stadium. The display measures approximately 13" x 21.5" and dates to approximately 1975-76. Next step: figure out how best to frame or store it!

![]() ![]() https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Cor...72.m2749.l2649 Thanks Rob...It was an unheard of kind of piece...especially being die cut and all...so I felt I had to get it...But when you're dropping serious coin on something you've never seen an example of before...going just on the listing photo...you never really know how it will look in person till you get it...Had I seen it hanging in an antiques store or show it would have been an easy green light...I got it hung up tonight using old school brass sash chain...not cheap stuff...$2.99 a foot for the chain...And now that it's up I'm very glad I pulled the trigger...I'm always curious where stuff comes from and asked the seller...said it came out of Minnesota...his reply below: Your sign is packed very well and will be in it’s way tomorrow. I purchased the sign from a small engine / boat dealer in west Central Minnesota - he closed his shop a few years ago but had been in business since the 1960’s - he started in boats / motors but converted to motorcycles, chainsaws, lawnmowers in the 1980’s - and small engine repair. Thanks again Carlton - hope you enjoy the sign as much as I did!

I was searching on eBay and found this ad piece. I purchased one of these 3 or 4 years ago in REA and at the time believed it to be a one of a kind piece (obviously not any longer). It also comes with the envelope from the
company that sent it as an added bonus. I will be shipping this off to auction soon I would imagine. A very beautiful and rare piece |
