This is a simple misunderstanding. It reads "War 182" but should read "War of 1812". The 1 is just faded.

Remember George Herman Ruth served as an Infantry Officer in the 39th Infantry Regiment and was key at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend. Cmon now.......how did you miss this?!?!?
