OT: Beware of fake eBay letter
Just got this fake letter from eBay which almost got me. Firefox prevented me from clicking on links stating that it was a deceptive site.
Just be careful because the scum out there are getting better at trying to deceive us.

One of the give-aways is it says "Your registered name is included to show this message originated from ebay" yet your name isn't actually included. Always a bad sign from ebay, paypal, or anyone else you might do business with.

Just a helpful hint, anytime you get any kind of message from ebay, go to your ebay messages in your ebay account. Any real message from ebay will be there.
BTW, I do that with any questions that come from ebay buyers too. Last edited by vintagechris; 06-28-2018 at 08:55 AM.

I started in computers in 1974 running a Honeywell 200 (65K) MainFrame and eventually to IBM Mainframes (thru the 1980's and 1990's), but I learned early in the 1990's never to click on a link in your email and that same advice works today.
