Negro Leagues legend Martin Dihigo, who was born on this day in 1905.
I saw this article on Foxsports this morning. I love the Negro Leagues, learning much about its history in the book, 'Only the Ball was White' by Robert Peterson. It's a great read.

Thanks for posting. After reading it I sought out reading his SABR bio.
I have a new found appreciation for Martin Dihigo. Oh and after like 40 years of seeing his name, I now know it's pronounced Dee-go. Thanks again for posting. Last edited by WillowGrove; 05-27-2017 at 06:24 PM. Reason: Typo
