Hey Sportsfans,
I'm three cards away from finishing a NM 1960 Topps set. ![]() Topps 1956, 1958, 1959 1961, 1962, 1963, 1967 1970, 1973 I know this is a personal decision but I would love any insight to any of these sets that you only learn by collecting them. For example, Choo Choo Colman was one of the hardest high cards to find for my 66 set. 1958 and 1961 are high on my list. Scott Last edited by spaidly; 02-21-2017 at 05:46 AM. Reason: Typo |

56 is a beautiful set that can be put together in decent quality with good eye appeal for a reasonable price.
70 is a great set too.... You can probably by a 73 whole set fairly cheap. I can help you with a 70 starter lot if interested. I also have a few 56s.. not many I really enjoy the 64 stand ups and 69 super set The oddball is a nice break from the main sets. Good luck. Scott |

I recently completed the 1973 set, largely for sentimental reasons as these were the first cards I remember getting as a child. As I worked on the set, however, I realized how many great (and quirky) action cards there are. This is really the first set to use action shots on a large scale. The set really grew on me during the process and is now one of my favorites. It is relatively inexpensive to complete, with the exception of the Schmidt RC.
Good luck on whatever set you decide to pursue.

You can't go wrong with either 1956 or 1967.
![]() On a side note, from your thread title, I thought you were specifically asking Anthony which set you should pursue. ![]() |

I have completed back to '59. Stopped a few years ago now. I think I am probably most proud of my '67 set. The high #s are a bear but it is a beautiful set and very fun to collect. Good luck in whatever year you choose.
