1948 Bowman basketball box topper/header
Does anyone know how rare these are or has anyone ever seen one?? I was lucky enough to pick one up recently and was told by a long time expert basketball collector who i know and who also has one that he has never seen another one besides his and mine and strongly believes our two might be the only ones in existence although I'm sure there could be others in private collections.
We are both fairly certain that a display box doesn't exist for this set and that the packs came in a generic cardboard box with the header card laying on top of the packs to be removed by the retailer and propped up in the back of the box to draw attention to the box/packs--has anyone ever seen a display box with actual printed graphics??
