Default John Batman 63 pepsi ...psa screw up?

psa 7 sold for 9k + buyers in verkmans auction last nite
is it my imagination or doesnt psa require that the perforation lines ALL be present just like 59 bazooka transogram etc otherwise the card is graded authentic?
opinions?
Lot #723 1963 Pepsi Cola Colt .45s John Bateman Cond: PSA 7 (highest graded, pop 1/1!)

Yeah, not entirely clear how they saw it.

The card wouldn't have lines at the sides. but did have them top and bottom. Both are partly there, but I'd expect to see the entire line.

Would PSA grade this do you think? I THINK all the cutlines show.

Only 5 Mantles have received numerical grades.

Larry,

Would you mind posting a link? For some reason, I am only able to view up to lot # 719 and not beyond. Thank you.

Does it have the tab? Do any of the Batemans have the tab? I don't think it was issued, but rather backdoored or a dumpster dive was necessary to obtain.

I believe that they would give it a numerical grade, Pete. From the Kevin Glew 12/20/11 article in the Sports Market Report, '59 Bazooka's will receive a numerical grade when "virtually all" of the dashed border is visible. Nice card--I once owned a "7" (cannot for the life of me remember whether it was PSA or SGC, but ALL of the dashed line was indeed present), sold it, and have regretted that ever since. Maybe my '55 Exhibit Postcard Back Mantle will make up for it, with only two total having been graded by both services the last time I checked.

Best wishes as always,

Larry
