Aside from my 52, I like the 53 and 56 copies with the 53 just slightly ahead of the 56.

I would go with 56T based on the great design and the Triple Crown year.

1956 is my favorite and the first mantle I picked up. Also like the 1955 bowman.

this is one of the best centered 55 bowmans i have ever seen. so tough!

and agree w/ the great beldini, i think the card is severely underappreciated as well...

1963(?) Transogram


1955 Stahl Meyer (now raw as the case fell apart on me)

Wow, some very nice Mantles. I see several that are high on my want list (e.g., 1959 Bazooka, the Stahl Meyers, the Home Run Derby card, the Venezuelans).

My personal favorite is the 1957 Topps, followed by the 1958 All Star.
