Default Heritage prices last night--what do you think?

Wonder about reactions to some of the prices. Of course, I only followed a few areas. But SGC t206 seems to get weaker all the time--dozens of SGC 84s, Sovereign, many top graded etc. and generally went for 384 or 424 or some such.... Am I nuts or have SGC t206s been fading badly in recent months?

On the other hand, amazing prices for two t206 SLs PSA 6 ...$1200 to $1500...I presume these are record for any of them....any idea why?

T3s seemed to be very strong--again, if PSA.

Sporting Life m116 cards PSA 8s faltered--some of the blues were "estimated" at 1200 to 1500 and went for 1/3 to 1/2 of that...

CJ 14s PSA craze seems to be--depending on your outlook--sadly or happily over...at least judging from this. Or maybe just too many good cards to choose from--so most of them suffered? It seems like the HOF and truly rare ones did well but the commons in PSA 5 and 6 that were going through roof just a few months ago settled back to earth (even a 7 or two). Maybe just in this case, or it was just that one of the guys who was bidding up these cards decided to sell most of them, so he is no longer bidding!!!

The old judge prices that Heritage got last night were incredible. This is a market that goes through cycles and it appears that the elevator is now going up. The Wrights went for amazing prices, even though the images were not very nice. I can't even imagine what a high grade Wright with a nice image would go for--perhaps six figures. Even mid grade commons were going for close to $400 after fees and taxes.

A 1952 Bowman Mantle PSA 7 went for over $10K. Amazing.

I thought my bid of over 19k for an SGC 3.5 52 mantle was pretty strong but was outbid by 2k.

True. Maybe some frustrated 52 Topps Mantle bidder decided this card was just as good, and a lot cheaper!

You're not nuts Greg, it's SGC, period. I have been saying this for years with most people arguing with me. Most people on this forum favor them over PSA, but at the end of the day, it's not even close as far as value goes. Look at my post of 3 SGC 88's, and compare my sale prices with comps of PSA 8's.... To be more specific, the 3 SGC 88's I have for sale can be bought for $3900 total. The last, and very recent, PSA 8's of these cards sold for a total Of $24,000!! Yes, the SGC 88's are incredible values, but you see were I'm going with this...I'm talking specifically about T206s, that's what I know....
