I'd like to see a scan of a 1946 Sears Stan Musial. I don't doubt that it exists. I've just never seen it. What cards would you like to see that you're pretty sure actually exist? Post your "want list" here, and hopefully our members will follow through with a scan.

I would like to see an E105 Fred Jacklitsch. I've never seen a scan of one. PSA added one to their population report about a year or two ago; there are none for SGC.

I would love to see that one too Paul.

My list would start with M101-6's of Casey Stengel and Hal Chase. Also Honus Wagner if it truly exists. It is on one of the checklists for the set, but its never been seen (that I know of).

I would like to see a scan of a T215 Red Cross Type-2 Merkle. I know the Type-1 exists, but I've never seen that one either.

There is a Type-2 in the SGC pop report, but I won't believe it until I see it.

If anyone here has seen one or can post an image, I would appreciate it.

Similarly, I'd like to see a scan of a T207 Lewis (no-emblem) with either the Cycle or Anonymous (Factory 25) back. Of the few examples I've seen, they've been either Broadleaf or Anon Factory 3.

Likely out there, just a small subset of a card with a small starting population.

Cards I'd like to see

(1) W590 Roy Spencer
(2) 1922 E121 AMER. CARAMEL BABE RUTH PHOTO MONTAGE-SER.120 (no quotes)
(3) 1922 E121 AMER.CARAMEL BABE RUTH HOLDING BIRD-SER. OF 120 (no quotes)

For #2 and #3, I'm assuming that these are just mistakes in printing the flip (and subsequent pop report) for these cards. All of the cards that I've seen for Montage and Holding Bird have Ruth with the name "Babe" Ruth with quotes rather than Babe Ruth without quotes. In the 1921 E121 set there are separate variations for "Babe" Ruth with quotes and Babe Ruth without quotes, but I don't believe that this exists in the 1922 set (unless someone shows me, of course).

I want a 1934 Goudey Babe Ruth and a 1952 Topps Joe DiMaggio. These obviously are cards NOT ever made, but boy do I wish they had been made.

I got a batch of these at a show in Irvington NJ in 1974 really not that long after the set was issued and liked the issue sharp photo's. They were obscure but all the collectors I knew at the time (all of Maybe 10-15) had a few. Well 5 years later I think I added maybe two to the original batch. Gary S from Michigan once had a few winners at a show in Silver Spring Maryland but prices were steep and I had already moved on to older issues so let them pass MISTAKE... Frustrating issue to collect but like all these cards discussed finding just ONE brings such joy..

Do you have a list of the photos that you have? Are any of them on any of the three checklists for the set? I saw Goldin had a group of 5 unchecklisted Mendelsohn photos in their last auction as well.

Although not a scan, I have seen a picture of the Sears Musial postcard, it was in an old auction catalogue. I don't recall which one, might have been Oser or Mastro or REA. The Schoendienst Sears is tough enough, I have seen two of those and owned one of them at one time.

One that I would like to see is the T5 Pinkerton Bill McKechnie.

Phil, I honestly doubt that a Rose Co. Postcard of Speaker exists. Rose postcards were issued in 1908 and Speaker had barely any major league experience at that time. Each of the 16 teams were represented by 12 players - usually the team's 8 starting field players along with their 4 most used pitchers. Speaker would have certainly not fit this criteria.

The Rose Co. did produce a few additional players in 1909 without team designations and it is rumored that Speaker was a part of this "update," but his card has never been seen. Beckett did not include Speaker in his first checklist back in 1980 or so. The Sports Collectors Bible did not include Speaker in its first three editions, but did include him in their 4th, which was produced in 1983. Nobody can confirm why the Sports Collectors Bible added Speaker to their checklist. As many know, there were many, many mistakes made in this book and I have always assumed that the inclusion of Speaker was one of them.

So, I guess that there is a small chance that a 1909 "no team" version of Speaker exists, but the fact that no one con confirm it leaves me very suspicious.

As far as W600 Sporting Life Cabinets go, there are only 3 HOFers who were available that I do not have an image for - Baker, Rickey and Duffy. I do not think that Rickey and Duffy are known to exist. The only evidence that I have for Baker is an old 1982 TTS advertisement where he is listed as being available via the auction:

A W572 Barbare and a W572 Rapp. It's almost certain one of the two doesn't exist (neither has ever been graded) given that these were issued in strips of 10 cards and the set lists 121 cards ... but which one doesn't exist is currently unknown.

Branch Rickey is not on the SLC checklist. However a SLC of Frank Baker in uniform, issued in 1910, does exist.

Tom Bartsch, SCD editor, needs coaxing to publish my follow up article on the Sporting Life Cabinets. It's been in the SCD hopper for seven months.

I would like to see a Hub Perdue and Gordon Hickman from the 1910 Coupon Type 1 set. I know they exists, but would like to see if anyone knows of a 2nd copy and it be verified. (I don't think a 2nd example exists, which makes me wonder about the issue a bit. Especially since the only examples known are Authentic. (Interesting cut on card... which further makes me wonder how the 68 cards was issued) Only in Long carton, perhaps? Only as a display piece? Were they in fact released like other issues ?

I got tired of chasing that set also, because I don't think it can be completed. The winning cards have vanished apparently, or never existed.

Tony - I don't think its possible since Joe was in Series 8 and no Series 8 players were featured on 1910 H801-7. (Just Series 7 players from T210 are featured on those OM cabinets, I believe... Some others can chime in)

Connor is on quite a few card issues of the 19th century. Several are from very difficult sets however. The easiest/cheapest would probably be an N284 Buchner or an N172 Old Judge, but those both would still cost several hundred dollars.

There are about a dozen or so Rose Co. Postcards that I have never seen an image of.

The Rose Co. added postcards of several new players in 1909. These can be easily differentiated from the original issue since there are no teams listed on their fronts and a different font was used. There are nine players on this 1909 list, most notably Tris Speaker. If one exists, I would really like to see an image of this card.

There's at least one card from an old timers set long after he played. I think Shakeys Pizza? I have it somewhere, and it's probably not real hard to find and/or fairly inexpensive.
