OT: Kershaw No-No!!!
What a game!!! He is the best lefty I have ever gotten to witness. Could not have happened to a nicer guy (and yes, I have met him outside of the park).

What a night for Kershaw. No-No, 15 Strikeouts, and called by Vin Scully!

I am so happy to have MLB Network (on the East Coast). I can't believe the analysts in the studio that actually "called it" that he'd throw a "no-no" after 4 perfect innings. Kershaw was definitely "on" tonight and it was apparent!
His stuff was sick and he was in complete control of the game. Interesting that they pulled Hanley between innings after his errant throw. Apparently he injured his throwing hand a few days ago, which might have been the reason for the E6.

I love having MLB.tv. I didn't see the end of the game, but I was able to bring it up and watch the final inning. Six pitches. Wow.

I thought the same thing when I read the box score. He is lucky that Kershaw is such a nice guy.

Got a call at 11 am yesterday from my friend (of 30 years) who lives in San Francisco, he was in town and one of his vendors had tickets to the game and our other friend from high school was in...Did I want to go? I said sure...So the three high school friends settle in for a night of live baseball (when we were younger we had season tix to the dodgers but the three of us had not been to a game together in several years)...And then Kershaw...scary good...curve, slider, fastball all excellent last night. By the end of the fourth people were already talking. no walks, 15 ks...just dominance. So awesome to be there with my friends.
This was the second no hitter I have seen (Ramon Martinez was the other) but this was one of the best pitching performances I have ever seen. Joshua |

I worked with Kershaw's step-mom here in Dallas, and knew his dad Chris. They were always very friendly and humble, and I adopted a rescue dog from them after they had brought it in off the street. I haven't talked to either of them in the last couple years, and I just googled them to maybe get back in touch with Carolyn. I'm sad to learn that Clayton's dad Chris passed away a little more than a year ago. Like Clayton, he was brought up here in Dallas and lived a pretty interesting life. As far as I know, Chris once helped coach both Clayton Kershaw and Matt Stafford together when they were playing baseball and football at Highland Park HS. I've never met Clayton but his dad was a pretty cool dude.

Oof, my fantasy opponent has him, too. I had Felix Hernandez going tonight. He K'd 10, but got yet another no no. He's allowed 2 earned runs in his last three games, and he's 0-1 for the effort.
Too bad the darned Mariners can't score any runs for him.

Fantasy made watching the no-no ever so sweet.
As if it wasn't sweet enough having Vin do the narration.

The Dodgers never seem to lack incredible starting pitchers. Kershaw is up there with the very best.
