Our Chat Room S/W is Ready for REA Closing night :)

A friendly reminder that our chat room software is working fine and ready for this coming Saturday night / Sunday morning REA auction ending. Last year we had around 15-20 folks. Hopefully there will be even more this year. If you haven't been in there for an REA ending, I can tell you from past experiences, it is a lot of fun. Thanks again to Anthony N. for getting it done for us!!

I believe you have to re-register somehow? When I first got in with this new s/w I don't remember what I had to do. We'll get it all figured out and make sure all members who want to have a lot of fun in there can actually get in ....About 2 AM we start the cussing of "recent bids" .......wanting it to close already...

If anyone has trouble getting into the chat room, that is a registered member, remember you do have to sign up and I think using your same board credentials should work. Anyone having issues can PM me or post in this thread (preferable) and we'll get some help for you..... I hope you guys are looking forward to it as much as I am....Should be a lot of fun again..

Hey Leon, just wondering if there is a workaround for using the chatroom with a mobile device. I was able to get in fine with a desktop but had no such luck with my ipad (preferred).

scroll up from right here and in a dark blue line, in white letters, it says "New Chat!" ...click there and you should be off and running to be able to register for it.......actually that is a good question. LMK if there are any more questions or issues getting in. Again, better to post here as others might have the same question...thanks

Thanks! My small brain got confused 'cause when I clicked there I got no sign in or nuthin' - it was blank ('cause no one was chatting, of course).

Sorry, missed this earlier.

The chat module requires activation of java. Ipads, iphones, etc won't work, unless the workaround mentioned above does the trick.

If you are on Firefox the default is to disable Java. You have to enable it (the chat module should walk you thru that) or you can just switch to Safari or Chrome and it should be fine.

You do have to reregister for the chatroom but it's set up to be automated, it will verify your email and you're good to go without Leon having to approve it.
