I am trying to find out anything anyone can tell me about the "Young" company. I found this trademark on a ball, which is what I'm really trying to research, but it is seriously faded. I did some searching, and came up with a couple of bats with the same trademark, one of which I show below (much easier to see on the bat).
Has the tag line "Best Quality Always" and "Trade Mark Chicago" with "Young" across the central hub of the 3-spoked logo. Anyone recognize it and/or can tell me anything about the company?

Thanks, Scott.
The ball I referenced above is an orange "Official C.O.F. League" ball with Charles O. Finley signature stamping. It is different than the usual ones you see in that this one has the signature stamping on the side panel rather than the sweet spot, has white laces instead of red, and has a manufacturer's stamp (the aforementioned "Young"). I'm thinking it is an example of his continued tinkering with the original orange ball design which batters were said to have complained about because the red laces blended too much with the orange color of the ball, making it difficult for them to pick up on the ball's movement. Hence the change to white laces, which would provide better contrast. But all I have to go on at this point is hypothesis, since I can't even find any solid information on the manufacturer (the original orange balls did not have a manufacturer identified on the balls or boxes). Just hoping that one of our members has heard of the Young company before. ![]() ![]() ![]()
