I know I have heard of (and seen) different versions of the "Baby Boxer" Cabinets like the one pictured here. In fact in the past I have owned actual Cabinet Card Photographs of these 2 "babies" staged in a mock boxing match. These photos never had any advertising on them but I just recently bought 4 chromolithograph, cabinet card size cards with advertising for Lichten Bros. Cigars. I have 4 different images from this "series" and the text advertising is identical on the front and back of each card. It seems that this "set" should qualify as an N-Series of Tobacco Cards but I cannot find them listed in either Burdock or Forbes/Mitchell. Does anyone one know if this series has an official "N number" and if so what that is. If not - why not?

And here is the back of each of the 4 Cards (I think the Photograph Cabinet Card Series had either 4 or possibly 6 different images).

I posted these to the wrong forum and I don't know how to delete the post - these cards are not presently for sale.

they would never be classified as N cards (19th century inserts) because they're trade cards. Would you like me to see if they're in the WTI for you? I have owned a couple of the cabinets as well and a few different trade cards (horizontal format) as Sullivan and boxing itself was a popular "comic" subject after ethnic groups :-(. Interesting and inexpensive - a perfect collectible! As for deleting I think one begins with the edit feature.......

Thanks!! If you could check the WTI (not sure what that is) it would be greatly appreciated.
