Ebay retractions

Just randomly looking at some bidders in a certain ebay auction, I almost immediately encountered three with 39, 48 and 67 retractions in the last six months. Is there an innocent explanation?

Good detective work Peter. I see they are bidding on items from the same seller. Is there anyway of finding out if these retractions were with that same seller?

Dan, not that I know of, but whether they are with the same or different sellers, I can't think of any good reason someone would retract that many bids. I don't think I have retracted a single bid ever, for example.
