OK guys this just came in. A guy sent me the rest of his set building material after building sets form 1953,1955, and 1956. There are some stars, high #s, SPs etc. He was a customer of mine and asked me to sell these. I finished breaking these down today. He is asking 15% HBV of vintage standard high book. I separated by grades and here is what I have:
1953 Topps group 1: P-G some dupes HBV $9250 buy price is $900 (230 cards) 1955 Topps group 1: P-G some hi #s HBV #1255 buy price is $110 (43 cards) 1956 Topps group 1: P-G some dupes HBV $5240 buy price $500 (140 cards) 1953 Topps group 2: hundreds of cards and several dupes. all clean VG to EX HBV $14,795 buy price $2500 (427 cards) 1955 Topps group 2: hundreds of cards with several dupes, all clean VG+ to EX HBV $11,772.50 buy price $1900 (481 cards) 1956 Topps group 2: hundreds of cards with several dupes, all clean VG to EX+ HBV $15,400 $2500 (724 cards) He is paying me a 10% fee to sell keeping the purchase price low. I talked him to $7700 buyout for everything. In group 2 lots here is the breakdown for grades (all backs are clean): 15-20% VG (corners, maybe light wrinkle or crease) 50% VGEX (centering, no wrinkles or creases and decent corners) 20-25% VGEX+ to EX+ Payment can be made by PP gift, check, or MO only. PP ekekela08@aol.com First PM or email confirmation takes the group. Last edited by JasonD08; 07-20-2013 at 07:52 PM. |

How many cards in '53 lot #1? Would it work as a starter set?

Same here, if you break up the lot I could send you lists for 55 and 56.

Guys
I edited with all counts in each lot. There are stars, highs, SPs, teams however no Mantles, Robinsons, Williams, Mays, or Aarons. 56 Lot 1 has a real beater Clemente. I hope this helps. I do have a couple pending inquiries on the entire deal so if you want any one lot let me know with confirmation asap. The 1953 Lot #1 has atleast 60% of the set with fewer dupes. All Lot 2s at VG to EX+ can have multiples of dupes and will yield several starter type sets. Jason |
