Default My first T206 Wet Sheet Transfer

Before now, I had never considered picking up cards with print oddities...I just passed them by and kept on going. For some reason, though, this T206 Tolstoi Ed Abbaticchio really caught my eye:

Even the Factory designation is readable

I picked it up at a card show today from a fellow board member who was set up there. We had a great conversation about T206 cards, he taught me a few things about the set, and I walked away with a card that truly appeals to me.

Can't ask for a better hobby experience than that, in my opinion!

Happy Saturday, everyone

Best Regards,

Eric

Way to keep that monkey fed, Eric. Nice card. Does that make two T206 for you now?

Mike,

Thanks for the feedback on Abbaticchio. You're right - this is the second raw card I have picked up.

I also have some graded T206...12 cards in total. I just posted a group photo in the, "Let's see 'em laid-out" thread.

Hope all is well. Have a great weekend, my friend.

Best Regards,

Eric

Cool. I've seen players name on the back but not factory on the front.

Default Soak it

Craig - Try soaking the card to see if the wall paper will come off on its own. If you haven't soaked a card before, there are a few threads on Net54 on how to do that. If you try it, let us know/see the results.

Craig

I would say just by looking at the front your Overall is not a Hindu. Look at this one and compare the colors. Most common redish fronts are orange when the back is Hindu. This does not happen on the red south hindus

Chris,

Interesting...is this particular example somewhat uncommon, then?

Please let me know.

Best Regards,

Eric
