I'm not sure an "average time" would be accurate, because the span of times are all over the place and can depend on the auction house, the customer, the item(s), how payment was made, etc.
I've received items within days of paying some auction houses, and with others it has taken close to a month. There's one particular AH that ships my stuff very quickly, yet it's one of the most-complained-about on this board when it comes to speed of service.
