A title like that works in reverse for me...it acts as a deterrent and I skip over it. But I do check out the description to make sure it's something I don't actually want A nice description works for me...

Back in the early eBay days you'd see nonsense like L@@K a lot. I have to agree, I just skip over auctions with that kind of title. By the way, who would ever search by WOW or L@@K anyway?? Rich |

all you should have in your title are things that someone might use to search for what you're selling. no one ever searches for "must see" or "L@@K"... those things are just obnoxious. |

I also use the description search to things like: It was my grandfathers and i dont know the value....... I dont know anything about cards but it looks real to me........ Found this in my fathers attic (basement)......... etc etc etc. Geez, the idiots and scammers on Ebay are amazing.

If I want to see "puffery" I have a mountain of auction catalogs that I can look thru at any time, they are by far the worst offenders. This ebay example would most likely not garner a look. Doesn't seem to be working much either.
