Need help with ID??

I saw these in an antique store today. They look very old. They are a set of 10 baseball players with Pitcher, Catcher, Batter and 7 fielders. Any help with what they are and how old let me know.

If the figures in the antique store set are about 3" high and made of hard rubber, the two figures shown above seem like a match --
the main differences, obviously, being that the antique store figures are mounted on some sort of block and lack the baserunner figure.

Unfortunately, these are the only examples we've seen of this set, and we don't know another thing about them. We'd guess a 1930s origin,
but we could be way off. The two figures we've posted sold for $11. apiece on eBay a year and a half ago.

They look similar to the hard rubber figures found in some older baseball-themed pinball machines. It there a hole in the bottom?

D'oh! Excellent thought, Rick. Hadn't occurred to us to look at arcade games for a match.

Haven't been hands-on with one of these, and this is the best pic we have of one --
so it's hard to say, but could they be from Scientific Machine's 1939-41 Scientific Batting Practice?

Way to go. They sure look like the players from that machine. I wonder what happen to the machine?

Unless they were made out of sterling silver, I don't see how the dealer is asking $2,895 for the set of 10.....
