Default 1907 Canton BB Team Postcard - Rube Marquard?

I am wondering if anyone can spot Rube Marquard in this team photo? I do not believe that he is pictured........

I don't have the answer but can attest to the fact the seller is very good. I will be quite surprised if he made a mistake. Just email him and ask him....though he might read this thread and email or PM you anyway, as he is a board member. regards

Leon:

I know where you are coming from, I have bought several from him in the past but had to do my own research. His standard response on these is that he was able to identify the player when he bought the item but will leave it up to potential bidders/buyers to do so on their own.

The 1907 Canton team that Marquard played for was the Canton Chinamen and not Canton Grays.

(If, however, this is the correct team Marquard is the player at the far right, squatting, and wearing a dark jersey.)

Hi Steve,

I think the guy squatting has a catcher's mitt.

BTW, here's another 1907 Canton postcard that I'm pretty sure has Rube (I think he's 5th from left in back row):

Hi Rob:

My screen is so small I missed the mitt.

You are certainly correct with the PC you posted. Rube was tall, some 6'3" and the facial features are spot on.
