Default HOF in cooperstown t206 wagner

I plan to travel during my summer vacation to the cooperstown HOF.

I have heard i can see a T206 Wagner in the hof.

i would like to know if this information is exact ?

The HOF copy of the t206 wagner is avalaible to see everyday in the hof ?

It is probably the easy way for me to see a T206 Wagner in real....

thx

yes to all of your questions. i was there last month. i highly recommend staying at The Inn at Cooperstown (great historic bed & breakfast). Also do dinner one night at Hawkeye Grill at the Otesaga Hotel.

it is obviously raw, but i think some people think it would grade a 4 or 5.

I was there last April, and they had 2 Wagners. There are two areas where they had cards displayed. One only had about 6-8 cards, including a Wagner, a '33 Goudey Lajoie, a T206 Matty, and if memory serves, a Ruth and a Shoeless Joe. In another room, which was at the end of a cricket exhibit, there was a more thorough collection of cards, which included another Wagner, and cards up through the '80s.

Curious... My memory is clouded... Did Mr Burdick donate this card to the Hall? Or at least one of the Wags?

I thought it was Halper but I could be wrong.

I beleive this is the card that during the Mastro Live 2008 event, when they auctioned off their Jumbo Wagner, they stated that the oversized example at the Cooperstown HOF, would grade a 6 or 6.5 - it's boderline NM.

If you haven't been there before, you might try Howe Caverns in Cobleskill or the Fly Creek Cider Mill in Fly Creek.

REA

“The Halper Cooperstown Gift Wagner” (in the 1980s when famous collector Barry Halper learned that the Hall of Fame did not have a Wagner, he gave them his duplicate as a gift!
