What are the chances this one is real?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/170818129873...84.m1438.l2649 It was at $115 until the last 5 seconds before everyone went crazy. I was watching not bidding but it looks just like the one from the Fargo. https://www.gfg.com/oldjudge/n173-78.shtml Seller doesn't sell cards and the color seems a little off but... It sold for about 1/10 of what it should have, so all the serious buyers stayed away from it. Almost certainly fake.

Hello,
Reasons I think this card is fake. 1) Seller doesn't really sells sports cards or memorabilia 2) Seller is from Indiana 3) Description says picture is PRINTED on thick cardboard. Shouldn't these cabinet cards have actual photos glued to the backing instead of printed on? If so, then someone should have asked the seller if the photo was glued onto the backing or if it was printed on. Just my two cents, David |

The image is of the Dog's Head cabinet Dave had--NO GOOD is my vote.

I'm going with not real, but the seller didn't know. Almost all sellers on ebay who try and pull off these fake card/cabinet photos have multiples, have done it numerous times, and have other flea market fakes for sale. This seller has none of that.

The seller might not have any of it but I am pretty sure they live (New Albany, Indiana) close to another seller who DOES have that type of stuff. I can't remember the name of the other seller (might possibly be found in a Search on this site) but there was a seller from New Albany who was peddling crap as authentic.
I remember this because I grew up near that area of Southern Indiana and was hoping I wouldn't find out that I knew any of these scam artists. David I can't find the name of the eBay seller but I did a Search for New Albany and found there was a thread from early in 2010 where a seller from there had fake cabinet cards that we were discussing. Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana are a haven for Flea marketers and so-called antique shops.
