Default Please Help: Ruth And ?

Hi Everyone,

Have a friend that needs help with identification of these 2 cards.
I do not have knowledge of these type cards.
The first small is Ruth and maybe Huggins (?) which is 2.5" W X 2.5" H
black and white card type stock. The second card is (?) 2.75" W X 5" H
black and white card type stock.

Any help on ID and any value, if in fact these are of value and
not some kind of reprints or fakes.

Thanks,
Charlie

Charlie:

Second card is definitely John M. Ward. Not sure what they are but my guess is modern items with very little to no value.

Default 99.9%

Without having them in hand I can only be 99.9% sure they are fakes. Value for them is equal to the heat generated by lighting them on fire. Which is the intrinsic value of all of the cards we collect .

These are recently made creations, probably out of the MidWest area.

The John M. Ward image is from the 1895 N566 Newsboy Cabinets set (image from www.oldcardboard.com)

Thanks for your help!!

Charlie

Leon,

I'll tell my friend to either throw in the fire or maybe shred with his early 1990's stuff for extra insulation in his attic.............
