Default Hunts Winners and Losers - 2/15/2012

While I missed out on the Bender-Delehanty, I did pick up a nice lot of SGC 40 T206 which included Joe Doyle (hands above head). Actually, I was surprised my bid held:

Default can't say

I can't say I like their show policies but some of the tobacco packaging and display pieces were pretty cool and ones I had never seen before. One or two of them skyrocketed. .... this is large at 6 x 8 1/2"

Default Hunt's

I absolutely love the Hunt's ending time after 30 minutes of no activity on that particular item. It's refreshing to know you are not held hostage to a auction until 5 am. Most lots were closed by 11:30 pm.

As far as Winner, I was able to snag the Coupon Cig Pack w/ 5 cards lot, but unfortunately got caught up in a TV show, and forgot to get back to a few other lots...

One of those times I did not like the per lot closing, checked at 10:30 cst and the lot was closed, $12 over my max. Certainly would have popped it again.

There were a great deal of very nice Cigarette Packs, Boxes, Displays, etc offered, many for the first time in years.

That was my mistake as well... i checked at 10:30 central, not realizing they were on eastern time, and when I checked 9 of the 11 lots I was watching/bidding had closed. I was definitely going to bid on at least 2-3 more lots. (That one is on me though... i should have paid closer attention)

There were some nice items in there, but the site is super confusing and their descriptions are all but impossible to read from the main page. I do love the 30 minute rule as people have mentioned above.

Scott, I'm not used to that either - I was out playing in a pool tourney and got 4 'winning bidder' emails on my phone shortly after 10:30 Eastern. Surprising, but kind of made my night.

Those displays Leon won are amazing. Same for the group of 5 Coupons - it was tough to lay off that one.

I won a bunch of stuff, but this took care of a set I've worked on off-and-on, in one fell swoop. Another addition for the man room:

After the fact I was upset with myself for not bidding more on a couple of items in extra time, but I came away with one item for cheap....
