Could someone please post a picture or pictures of what an American League baseball would have looked like in 1938?
Thanks!

William Harridge as Pres. A couple of years later they started to put stars on either side of "OFFICIAL". In sure some other guys can chime in here, but Hunts has one up for Auction now...this one.

Hi, Brandon, what about this ball? I thought it was from the 50's, but it only has one star. (It may be hard to see on the scan, but you can tell in person.)
Thanks, Ken earlywynnfan5@hotmail.com |

Well...its hard to judge from the picture, but I can definately see the 2 stars on either side of the " OFFICIAL ", but I cant see the star under " Harridge ". So with the 2 stars on either side of official, its a 40-45 ball, but if you can make out the 3rd star under Harridge, than its a 46-59 ball.
Hope that helps. Maybe post a pic with the lower stamped panel and the OAL panel, so we can see a little clearer. Hopefully Brandon G can throw in his knowledge here. I dont want to throw you astray. He's the Guru.
