Default What is on your Want List ?

Hi Everyone! What is on your sports memorabilia want list right now? For me, I am looking for anything Pre-1945 Pro Basketball. This includes any programs, tickets, schedules, autographs, photos, postcards, etc. Can you help me?
What do you collect? I will try to help you.
Thanks, Andy Sandler alwysyakn@aol.com

Default Browns collector

I collect Cleveland Browns memoribilia. I specialize in Pennants but also like to collect Cleveland Browns Costello Figures, Hartland figures, Fred Kail figures, Starting Lineups, Moyer Banks...basically anything vintage or collectible other than Cards and Programs.

If you're reading this and have any of this for sale, feel free to let me know.

Scott and Greg... Thanks

Greg, the new room will have a few familiar pieces in it (I know at least a couple came straight form your collection!)

Scott, sorry that the Vander Meer pennant and me are joined at the hip. If I see another, I'll be sure to contact you.

My top 5 want-list items are getting too darned expensive...

Muller Clock
Testi Batter Statue
Testi Pitcher Statue
Duckweb style Glove
The White Sox Pennant pictured below...

Would be shocked/thrilled to find any one of these 5 at the National (or anywhere else) anytime soon!

Always looking to buy or trade for vintage items related to any heavyweight champion from John L. Sullivan to Muhammad Ali, or anything related to heavyweight contenders of the 1960s and '70s — especially George Chuvalo and Jerry Quarry. The "Holy Grails" on my WL are the on-site programs for Chuvalo vs. Ali II (May 1, 1972 in Vancouver) and Chuvalo vs. Quarry (Dec. 12, 1969 at MSG).

Being more of an opportunist sort of collector I don't really have a wantlist.

But there is one thing I'd really like to get.

A photo of the Stan Papi grafitti that was on Fenway. It was past the bleacher gate on Lansdowne St. It was very profane and with an even less PC grafitti response. I was always amazed the team allowed it to stay for years.

I always meant to take a picture, but never did. If anyone did take a pic of it I'd be happy to get a copy or even just a scan.....

These are a real needle in a haystack--handcut fibreboard with the player image in black and white affixed on top, and the player's name handpainted below. They hung over the concession stand at the main entrance at Wrigley Field in the late '60s early 70s and featured everyone on that year's roster. i have two that i found at a flea market 20 years ago--John Boccabella and Pete Reiser. If you ever see one, let me know!

I have a holy grail list, but this list is geared more toward attainable items in the short term for me.

Tigers Tray

I have one of these mugs, but I would love the pitcher and another mug

I love this set. I have the two outer plates, but need the charger in the middle and enjoy the other pieces as well.

I would really really really like a catcher figural to round out my trophy collection. That is the only form I lack.

I am always looking for items featuring Hugh Bedient (Boston Red Sox 1912-1914, Buffalo 1915).

Also looking for Bob Laughlin original art or unusual items.

I know I have a very nice condition 1930s Averill Buckleback Glove stashed away. Do you want me to check if it is a lefty model? Just want to be sure you are sincere before investing the time to dig it out... thanks.

Default Elvin "Kink" Richards N.Y. Giants Football 1930-40 Wanted

My relative Elvin "Kink" Richards was number 13 for the New York Giants Football Team from 1930-1940. If anyone has any item for him, it would be nice. I can't even find a cut autograph . I thought he had a matchbook, but never found one of those either. He played on the same team(s) as Ken Strong. I can find Ken Strong Items, but not Kink?

I just solved most of the mystery of these pins last year. There was a professional team photographer who shot these images in the early 70's. He never got a license and the pins were never widely distributed (if formally distributed at all). Don't have the full answer of how many were made, how they were distributed etc, but know they were VERY limited. I have seen at least 2 different sizes as well as seeing images from what is clearly the same photo shoots as regular pictures ranging from 4x6 to 16x20 size.

Are you only looking for Red sox players, or any players? Be well.

-Howard

Default a bunch of stuff

My current interests:
1) Signed 1934 Goudey cards, that I don't have.
2) Lou Gehrig items of all sorts. Mostly vintage memorabilia like photos, but an occasional card here and there.
3) Signed Sport Magazines, that I don't have.

Thanks,
Mark
