Two political campaign buttons for Cap Anson. Following Anson’s retirement he pursued politics among other endeavors. In 1905 he ran and was successfully elected City Clerk of Chicago. In 1907 he then ran for Cook County Sheriff but lost. These two buttons are from those campaigns. They are both of the type that have a button stud on the back of them and are designed to fit into a button hole of coat or shirt. Both are in excellent condition with no issues. $375 shipped and insured.
