Got a kick out of this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/1911-T201-MECCA-...item564234afda I collect lower grade cards, but I think I would reject this one. Brian |

That card sold in a local auction a couple of weeks ago - I was stunned anyone bid on it then. I'm more stunned to see it was bought with the intention of flipping it - how much did the guy think he could make off of it???

I agree, I'm a low grade guy myself. Hell, I've been known to buy some ridiculous things, if the price is right. I've got the bottom 1/3rd of a used 1926 Exhibit of Cobb, but including shipping I only paid $1.50. I just figured what the hell, why not!
Anyways, there's not a chance I'd have bought this T201. Well, maybe if it was under $5. |

In the local auction it did come with I think 3 other T201s that were complete.

Good point Steve - I just checked my catalog and saw that - I didn't remember that offhand...

Perhaps the winner already has the Cobb/Crawford head half, thus making this (with the aid of a strip of scotch tape) the steal of the century.
