Default Nice vintage MLB collection found

I have been asked by the son of the late Lubie Veal, former groundskeeper of the Reds (mid-1970s Big Red Machine), Expos, and Cubs, to sell the baseball memorabilia that he accumulated during his career. These items include: 55-60 autographed balls, all signed years ago (1969 NL All Star team with Clemente and others, late 1960s Pirates team with Clemente, Carl Hubbell, Kubek/Garagiola (2), Ryne Sanberg (4), Andre Dawson, Greg Maddox (2), late 1960s Giants team ball, 14 International League team balls - late 1960s, Billy Williams (2), Ernie Banks, etc.) Also, there is a banner that says "1975 World Series Champs" that flew over Riverfront Stadium in 1976, 1975 Reds and Red Sox W.S. press pins, 1990 All Star game ring, two W.S. rings (1975 and 1976), 1990 All Star game press pin, Ray Knight autographed glove, box of 1990 All Star official unused game balls, 1973 Reds NL West commemerative bat, 1988 Cubs NL East commemerative bat, autographed Ryne Sandberg bat and photo, etc.

Any suggestions on how I should sell this stuff to do the best I can for the family? Pictures attached.

I agree with you Scott. Great looking collection and vintage enough- some of it almost 40 years old, FWIW....

Default I'd find...

...an auction house (browse the ones that are advertisers here) for the ones that sell the most baseball memorabilia (as opposed to cards). Then I'd really play up the connection to Lubie -- you would want to sell the provenance as much as the items themselves as it brings the items closer to the game and just about assures authenticity. I would do this with any information about Lubie that you'd be willing to share with the auction house, including stories about how he acquired some or all of his items. "From the family of...." items are generally more valuable.

Good luck with the sale. There are some really nice things in there.
