A neighbor friend has nice autographed ball of the New York Giants that belonged to his father-in-law. With magnifying glass in hand, I came up with the list below of signers. After review of the '27, '28 and '29 rosters, I've decided it is most likely from 1928. The ball is an Official National League with red and blue stitches. Many years ago, a fine gloss was applied.
He is considering having it certified. I would like to hear some thoughts from the board. Barnes Virgil Benton Larry Bresnahan, Roger P (coach?) What type of thoughts are you seeking?
The Certification is nice to have if he's selling the ball. Obviously it's quite valuable if authentic, and most potential buyers would want a Letter. I would stick with PSA or JSA (as the two most valued opinions). If he just wants the Certification for himself (and is not selling) then only he can determine if it's worth shelling out for the authentication fees. If he has any doubts about the signatures (or thinks some might be secretarial), then perhaps he should have it done. Not sure if this helps... just my .02 |

I realize I was not very clear about "thoughts". I appreciate your opinions on using either PSA or JSA. Although he probably not interested in selling, he might have some peace of mind with authentication.

Put a few pics up here. The authenticity will be easy to determine. Absolutely no point in shelling out any money.
