OT on the College World Series

This can only be very loosely construed as having anything to do with vintage baseball cards, but...

The winning pitcher for LSU in last night's opening game has the best name ever for a baseball player: Matty Ott.

How could you not root for the guy?

That is a cool name Jim....but Texas lost so I have less interest now.

I do love the way the kids play though.....the enthusiasm is great.

Texas isn't "out". The final is best 2 out of 3. (They might be "out" by tonight though.)

Thanks ...I wasn't thinking it was the final yet.....I guess I should have known since it is the "World Series".....I was out last night in Plano at some kind of youth Volleyball extravaganza with kids running every where....

being a UNC fan, they've gotten there the last 4 years in a row, but can't seem to pull it out. Would have been nice to have the basketball team and baseball team win in the same year though.
