Is it possible to have anything besides Old Mill, Piedmont, or Hindu with any of the Southern/Texas leaguers? I just found it odd that PSA created a new registry master set of all of the Southern Leaguers and they noted that some of the players have Sweet Caporal, Sovereign, or Polar Bear backs.
Maybe some of the currently holdered SLers have been mislabeled with these erroneous backs? Mark |

No, sir. It isn't possible. You had it correct in your mind to start with.
I do think you last 'maybe' has merit. Save us from the stuff that ends up on the net... Last edited by FrankWakefield; 06-08-2009 at 10:04 PM. |

While we are on the subject of SLer backs -- as between Piedmont and Old Mill, which is more scarce? I used to always think Old Mill, but I have not seen too many Piedmont SLers lately. How close are those two as to scarcity on SLers?

Adam, the ratio of Piedmont to Old Mill backs among Southern Leaguers seems to depend on the individual player and whether they were among the earlier cards produced or came later in the Southern Leaguer series.
There was a very good discussion about this topic here: http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...uthern+leaguer |

Mark,
There are some Southern League cards in circulation with blank backs. I have seen about 4 of them. The blank back T206 is the 9th scarcest back. Seth |
