Firemen are cool...
…but they aren't usually baseball players.
If you are bidding on this, and don't collect fireman stuff, stop. Fireman cabinet on ebay If you are a fireman-stuff collector and was hoping this would slip under the radar - don't worry, as it's going to go higher than fireman stuff.

Scott,
I thought fireman also, but don't know exactly why. What are the differences, other than the lack of baseball equipment, that should tell us this bibbed guy is a fireman? Thanks. |

Totally OT...sorry in advance Scott for hijacking.
I am a volunteer firefighter and besides searching for sports items, sometimes I look for firefighter ephemera. Last week at the flea market a dealer had a brand new helmet. I know that this type of helmet retails for between $550 to $600. I was able to get it for $60. Thanks for allowing me to brag and now back to your regularly scheduled program . Jeff |

No problem with meanderings. Here's a fireman tintype I used to own - I believe I paid $40 and sold for $50-60....because they aren't baseball players:

Are you certain Scott? I'm pretty sure those two on the left are in the Twins' rotation.

Joke of the day ...
If you're sitting on a bus, how do you know the guy sitting next to you is a fireman?
He'll tell you .....

That's interesting - all the firemen that I've met in Seattle & Tacoma are very humble. I walked by the Belltown fire station every day, and here in Tacoma there is a fire station right next to the coffee shop - really great guys at both places, always welcoming and friendly with everyone. Right up there with astronauts and cowboys.
