Many years ago when I was buying 100's of items from Ron Gordon I bought some Weiss. A few years later he asked for them back as he found out they were secretarial. Unfortunately I forget what the secretarials looked like. For the most part the one you posted match up with the checks and contracts I have so I think it is OK

George Weiss' authentic autograph bears the traits of a man who spent a lot of his life signing paperwork. He signed rapidly, yet legibly, with a unique wispiness which nobody but him could really replicate.
The late in life secretarials exhibit deliberate letter formation with a heavy pen pressure. The individual letter formations are much wider and more defined. Placed beside an authentic, healthy Weiss autograph, they're easily distinguishable. Apples and oranges. |
