Surprised that a February Pickup thread hadn't been started, so here we go:
Picked up a nice looking Red Dooin T206 off of eBay from Brad P., and a Real Picture Post Card of a young catcher. Patrick |

Had been looking for a PSA 3 for over a year. Strangely there doesn't seem to be too many of these for sale relative to other grades. Last one sold in Jan of 2016. Was happy to pick it up for the price.

1910 Ostdiek Obak with "No Paste Used" back
Picked this nice 1910 Ostdiek Obak with a "No Paste Used" back in the recent Sterling Sports Auction. Had as 1911 Ostdiek but not the 1910. The back is a new back for me as well. I have 22 different backs in the 1910 set from just collecting catchers.
Thanks Lee! Patrick Last edited by Vintagecatcher; 02-09-2017 at 07:41 AM. |

I've wanted one of these 1912 Red Sox RPPC's for a while - finally saw one at a decent price, and with the 10% eBay Bucks day, decided it was time to get one!

Beautiful Jackie.
I've always wondered with this card... Did Jackie have a lazy eye, was this an error in the photo/printing, or was there some sort of evil, underlying message intended by the look of his eyes?

Old Judges
In mail today
Mathews Whitney w/dog Williamson I know the Mathews card is listed on the "Scarce Card" list in the Old Judge book but just how scarce? When I found this card I knew he was on that list and knew who he was and about his career. And that he had very few cards issued (only other I could find was the N690-1 KBats and the N690-2 KBats Cabinets) After doing research to get an idea of value we (the seller and I) could only find one Mathews card that had been auctioned....in November 2007. A PSA3 on eBay went for $1000+. No VCP listings. I'm sure there's been private sales since just like mine here but no auction sales? Any input will greatly appreciated Last edited by wolfdogg; 02-19-2017 at 09:01 AM. |
