I agree with all of the choices above. There are some good ones I've found searching the archives, I'll try to find a few that were pretty fun and entertaining. Is a T213-1 a T206 ?
Sincerely, Clayton Side note* Some of the Pat Chan getting snagged threads were fun reading also.....before my time here, but very entertaining as well as educational. |

There have been plenty of informative threads on a variety of sets and I have enjoyed them the most. I am partial to the caramel issues, and always on the look out for threads about them. Here is one that may not have received much interest, due to its subject matter, but the author I have always thought was able to piece together with the help of fellow net54 members a convincing argument on the value of this issue:
http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...&highlight=e91 Of course the author be me, so biased must I be. I submitted it originally when I for a time lacked a scanner, and Leon helped me out...always wished the pages had come out larger. I still think it deserves to be in the thread archive, perhaps doing legal battle vs. Bruce. Brian Last edited by brianp-beme; 09-18-2011 at 10:01 PM. Reason: added been that was missing |

Best Net54 threads of all time ?
One tremendous Net54 thread is........
Barry Arnold's T206 thread in June 2006 regarding the El Principe de Gales (EPDG) cards attained 363 very meaningful and informative posts on various aspects of the T206 set....which resulted in some ground-breaking discoveries. A really great thread in which many serious T206 collectors participated in, including Bill Heitman. http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...highlight=epdg Then in Sept 2006, this follow-up thread further explored many topics that resulted from Barry's EPDG thread. http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...highlight=epdg Check them out. I agree that the Joe Jackson mega-thread was the best of all time. But I didn't consider it to be a debacle at all because of how insightful and investigative it was. In fact, I went ahead and purchased a T202 Lord Catches His Man card as a result, and still have it in my collection to this day. The discovery of Joe in the center panel was amazing, and I still can't believe prices for that card haven't shot through the roof (although it isn't being offered for sale too often). Where else can you going to find an affordable bonafide baseball card of Shoeless Joe in nice condition?

For Hilarity.........
....Da Noize Guy who was an "accomplished golfer and "Noize Bringer" also the guy who typed all in caps. He has a brick and mortar card shop in northern Illinois. I met him in person at a breakfast buffet in Mendota Illinois by accident.
But for serious knowledge imparted.... any post by Barry Sloate or Mark Macrea was appreciated by me. Ted Z. ditto.....plus many more of our members. But Barkmannnnnnnnnnnn WOW!! A big downside is that he appeared to "run off"( with insult) JoAnn, who had a lot to offer. |

My collection seems to always be in a state of great disorganization so I really enjoy and envy the Anyone Have Memorabilia Room Photos to Share thread.

And now for something positve...
While trainwreck threads are always a good pile-on rubberneck, as mentioned in an earlier post - 5 years ago!! - I'll go with the Skydash. Guy came on here looking for info and help. At first we all had our collective skeptic antenna up, but he turned out to be very very real. And even a boardmember in his area helped him get the stuff to a reputable AH. The only downer was that he couldn't find the Ruth stuff at the town dump.
