Default Finally Happened to ME...card missing during USPS shipping...

This envelope arrived to my PO Box today from Ebay...clearly ripped up, then retaped...and ZERO contents inside. Not sure if it was stolen, dropped out somewhere...or what.

The good news it's a $4 card, and probably not even worth that. Doesn't look to be the sellers fault, I doubt he would mail a damaged envelope for $4. I literally have no idea what to do. Again, it's $4...got lucky, nothing pressing or even stress related, but annoying at the same time. I picked it up after hours here so I wasn't able to talk to anyone.

I've literally bought and had thousands and thousands of cards through USPS, this is a first.

If you bought on eBay you can get a full refund. Just click on drop down in order details and mark “item not received” and upload all those photos.

Seller can claim this and get 100% of sale price refunded.

Contact seller he will probably just issue a refund. If not file an " item not as described " case. The seller can prove the item was delivered with tracking. Ebay might make you file a report with Post office saying envelope was empty. Hope this helps..But unfortunately sportscards are fair game in the postal system.
What used to stop most mail theft was the threat of losing job / Pension. Now for too many that threat means nothing. Worst is ebay makes you put a code on envelope when you send card worth over $250 to authentication. So everyone who handles it knows what it is. And theft reports are sky high.

That's what worries me, anything indicating there is value makes it a target.

Had a good result...I contacted the seller who was more than cool...I told him I would most likely take the advice Geoff reply with, he was like don't worry about it, I have another one I'll just send out. He was shocked as well to see the picture. I told him he didn't have too, but he insisted. Great seller.

This hobby gets hit with everything possible, from scammers to fraud...you name it. Not being comfortable shipping anything, regardless of value or insurance, just sucks.

I had something similar happen prior to the eBay authentication days. In my case the item was marked as "delivered" as well so I could not get a refund. I appealed to eBay and ended up having to file a police report as well as a report with USPS. eBay ended up refunding the purchase price.

Kind of a pain. Best of luck John

I shipped a few slabs this morning and wrote “Adult Diapers” on the box. Hopefully scares off any thieves. Lol. It’s getting bad.

That is an absolute classic right there, and honestly, a great idea I will certainly copy! Well done...

Had an open UPS box show up on the front steps this week. Fortunately all the Yeti accessories (no cards) were still there; looked like it was a bad job on the shipper sealing the box.

Driver just left it like that on the porch.
