But I mean Andre Iguodala.

He was ALWAYS a great defender. In his early days he was a scorer for Philly. He was a Swiss army knife for Golden State with greatly reduced scoring, but when the chips were down if they needed points he was more than capable as proved by his 2014/15 Finals MVP (the most amazing stat being he payed 37 minutes per game and only turned the ball over a TOTAL of 6 times) and numerous games where he stepped up for them due to injuries etc.

The big question is, does all that get him to the HOF? Only 1 All-Star Team and 2 All-Defensive teams to go with the Finals MVP has to hurt his chances.

Does he wind up in the Robert Horry category of a guy who makes big contributions to multiple championship teams, but individually just isn't quite there?

Iggy was great. Better then Robert Horry, but not really a HOF'er.

Analytics does love him though. His total WS (Win Shares) and VORP (Value Over Replacement Player), is really solid, especially if you count his Playoff contributions into those stats.

He's in the realm of many HOF'ers by those stats. Some big namers to. He's also in the realm of many guys like him, who have been mostly forgotten about as far as the HOF is concerned because their traditional counting stats aren't huge either.

BTW, those stats I mentioned are in a similar ballpark as the other "AI". No doubter, 1st ballot HOF'er Allen Iverson. Iggy did play quite a few more games to compile those numbers......but still...........

Now, to make it even more interesting. Because of Iversons high usage rates during his career and Iggy’s 6th man status for the 2nd half of his career, they have a similar amount of minutes played, despite Iggy playing about 300 more games. Iggy only has about 2000 more minutes played, which comes out to about 48 games of play, based on Iversons usage during his career.

None of this really means anything. I just find it “interesting”.
