Yeah it was the patriots but third game in 10 days for the Jets .
After being off an entire year Rodgers appears to be almost completely back , Completed Multiple passes to eight different receivers with lots of yards after catch ... also a very effective pair of running backs |

They're the Jets. Give them time.

They already have a pretty good defense and they have several really good weapons on offense that should come together as the season goes along, as long as the 40 year-old QB stays healthy.

Yep. The best was Allen Lazard doing the Shooter McGavin. Classic Jets.

Looks like Aaron Rodgers got Robert Saleh fired.
Aaron Rodgers sucks. The Jets basically hand him the keys to the franchise. After getting hurt after 4 snaps, he shows up on the Internet with the talking heads talking passive aggressive smack about his own team for the rest of the year. Has the time to get involved with politics and all that. Then this summer, he doesn't show up for some of the mandatory workouts. Predictably, the Jets start to lose, and he's out there undermining his coach and whining about holding other people accountable. I tell you, everyone says that Aaron Rodgers is one of the best to have ever played. But I'll take Eli Manning over Aaron Rodgers any day of the week. Because win or lose, Eli Manning was all class, all the time. |

It is remarkable how the Jets imploded this year.
Perhaps they should carve out the Giants and the Jets from the NFL and just have them play each other in the Meadowlands for the next seven weeks. |

The New York Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh last month, and are now parting ways with their general manager. Two days after their 28-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the Jets have fired general manager Joe Douglas.
Douglas was in the final year of his contract with the Jets, but team owner Woody Johnson chose right now to hand him his walking papers following a 3-8 start. Douglas had served as the Jets GM since 2019. During his time in charge, New York failed to register a single winning season, and never finished above third place in the AFC East. In all, the Jets went 30-64 during Douglas' time as general manager. Johnson released a statement on his decision, and announced Phil Savage would serve as the interim general manager. "Today, I informed Joe Douglas he will no longer serve as the General Manager of the New York Jets. I want to thank Joe for his commitment to the Jets over the last six years and wish him and his family the best moving forward. Phil Savage will be the Interim General Manager for the remainder of the season. We will begin the process to identify a new General Manager immediately." The quarterback problem was the biggest issue of Douglas' tenure. Since 2019, the Jets have started eight different quarterbacks: Sam Darnold, Luke Falk, Trevor Siemian, Joe Flacco, Zach Wilson, Mike White, Tim Boyle and Aaron Rodgers. Things were expected to change when the Jets traded for Rodgers, but his 2023 campaign was lost to a torn Achilles suffered in the season opener, and 2024 has been a disaster. The 3-8 starting record is Rodgers' worst through 11 games in his entire career, and the Jets rank seventh worst in total offense (294.4 yards per game), and seventh worst in scoring offense (18.5 points per game). However, Douglas did register some notable hits in the draft, scoring Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, Jermaine Johnson II and Breece Hall all in the 2022 draft. However, Douglas did miss on his first two picks in 2020 with Mekhi Becton and Denzel Mims, and then, of course, the selection of Wilson at No. 2 overall in 2021 did not pan out. Douglas, 48, broke into the NFL as a scout with the Baltimore Ravens in 2000. He served as the director of college scouting for the Chicago Bears in 2015, and served four years as the Philadelphia Eagles' vice president of player personnel. NFL Media reports that multiple teams think highly of Douglas, who should find his next job in the NFL soon enough. However, his time with the Jets is over. As for finding replacements at head coach and general manager, the Jets must wait until the regular season ends before they can begin interviewing candidates currently on other teams. |

I was lucky enough to win an auction or a pair of tickets to the Jets/Patriots game a few weeks ago. I won them in a charity auction for the Make a Wish Foundation. They were 3 rows behind the Pats bench at about the 35 yard line and included a parking pass. I won them for $400 dollars.
I'm a Pats fan and have been since the late 60's. That was the closet, and by far, the best seats I ever had.It was a great experience. I got a couple of autos (Bourne, Pop Douglas), beautiful weather, great seats and a perfect outcome when the Patriots scored with 22 seconds left to win the game to beat our hated rival. I expected the Pats to get smoked quite honestly. This was a bucket list item for me. I'm starting to do them now that I'm getting older (66 tomorrow). I'm really enjoying the Jets meltdown this season because my Pats pretty much suck, but getting better. I look at the Jets the same way I look at the Yankees. If my team can't win I want those teams to do horrible. |

You know who are the anti-Jets? The Detroit Lions.
Dan Campbell seems to have gotten that culture right. All those fourth down calls, receivers who block, left tackles who never give up sacks. Win or lose, you know what the Lions are about, and it's great to watch. |

It's the strangest thing ever to happen in my lifetime living here in Detroit. The Lions have sucked for generations. This is the first time they have ever (since 1930!!) won 10 or more games in successive seasons. Their first 11 game winning streak. They even seem to be getting all the calls from the refs. The only bummer is that the Ford family still owns the team. They don't deserve this. If you can put money on the Lions to win the Super Bowl, do it! This is a once in a century event!
