I suspect you'd have to take a deep dive into team photos from that era. The Cardinals made some nice premiums which are easy to find. I took a quick look, but didn't come up with anything. It's also possible he's a minor leaguer — the Cardinals had about 20 affiliates during that time, and about half of were named the Cardinals. I'm actually trying to identify some minor leagues caps from that era, and it's a real challenge. But if you keep looking, I'll bet you find out who he is. That's been my experience. The information is out there just waiting to be discovered.
