Ok, I didn't bite because, from what I remember, this seller sells a lot of reprinted stuff. That being said was this one real, and if not, how does this guy keep his 100% rating? Does he just sell to folks and hope they think it's real...and if they want a return he makes it easy so gets off scott-free? Just curious as it's a neat sign...,.

Most likely fake.
If you look at his current auctions you will see that he has an oil for sale. When you look at it is shows some rust and wear. When you read the description, he says you will receive a can that is unopened and in much better shape. He is asking $29.99 for it. Now, when you Google that oil can, there is somebody who is selling six of these cans for $59 dollars and they CLEARLY STATE the can is a reproduction. My guess is this scammer (ACOFIND, fourducks, theolestuff) has bought six fake cans from this guy for $59 dollars and is going to try and sell all six for at least $29.99 and is going to call them original and vintage. Oh yeah, ACOFIND says these cans were purchased at a local estate sale. Which, of course, allows him to then come back and say he didn't know they were fake if a buyer calls him out. Look at his other signs and I bet most of them are fake also. Look at his Feed Back and it is sickening. He has a good racket going where he makes thousands of dollars a year from selling fake stuff to unsuspecting buyers. Of course, no matter how many times he is reported to eBay they just let him continue because they get the fees from these sales. David Last edited by ctownboy; 04-24-2012 at 09:44 AM. |
