I purchased a card last night in which the Seller listed the price at an error being way too low. I bought and it paid for it!
My question is, can the seller say he made mistake in listing price and refund my money or does he have to follow through on the sale?? Thanks All! |

He can retract it if he wants more than likely but he will risk a dispute and negative feedback. If he does that to you I would suggest disputing it and leaving negative if he doesnt give in. How much of an errored listing was it? A few dollars, or few hundred dollars?

If it was an obvious error, I would let him out of the deal. The law might also allow him to undo the deal if the error was obvious and you were aware of it when you made the purchase.

The seller and I both contacted one another and cancelled the transaction!

Good way to go Neal. I had this happen once when a mid-50's Jackie Robinson was listed at a BIN for $3.99. I did the same thing you did and paid for it instantly. I knew it was an error, but I had to purchase it just in case. I actually emailed the seller a little while after I purchased the card and let him know that if for some reason it was an error in the listing, which I thought it was, that I was onboard with canceling the purchase. He responded and said it was definitely an error and we canceled it altogether.
It's great to get those awesome deals, but some of them are too stellar!

Nice to see you did the right thing. We all make mistakes. No need to force the guy into a sale for a mistake made. We would all like to have that same courtesy if we made the same mistake.

If it is a huge mistake then yes definately good to do the right thing. If it is an overpriced card seller that accidentally marked it down to a proper price then fight that (I'm half joking
