Bruce, how about posting your CV? Just think of it as another way to brag about yourself. Not that anybody would believe it anyway. That is what happens when you make numerous claims and then NEVER back them up. The only common sense explanation is that you are full of BS.

I don't know why everyone has something negative to say about the Bruces. I for one thoroughly enjoyed their portrayal of Vizzini in "The Princess Bride":

Good. Let's just see how long you can last before your next lie or insult. I'll make you a deal.....be a good little boy for the next month and I will spare you a few teeth should I see you at the National. Have a nice weekend!

We have no interest in sharing our cv or museum advisory role with you
and your "friends"

Talking about good little boys, we will be happy to share the names of the women we have dated over the past five years if you would so kind as to post the names of the pre-teen little boys and girls who regularly service you

If you believe the Board is so interested in our intimate life, imagine their fascination with your nasty habits, videos and the rest of your sick, dark side.

Look forward to seeing you at the National. Now that you have put a direct threat in writing, we can do whatever we wish to
address your aggressive efforts. Think about that...if your brain is large enough to understand the implications of what you are saying

Cheers

"...the pre-teen little boys and girls who regularly service you" kind of did it for me.

Don't we have board rules regarding pederasty?

You, my friend, are obviously not a morning person! I'll say it again and be sure to read it s.l.o.w.l.y. this time so you can can follow along, ok? The challenge is not to you. The challenege is to your five supporters...so far not one of them has sent me a PM so I'm thinking my place on the forum is pretty safe at this point. It also further cements my view that you are nothing more than a garden variety liar which also lends credence to the belief that your collection, like your friends, exists only in your mind...

It's a beautiful day out side in the greater metropolitan area...you really should push yourself away from your comuputer and go get some fresh air. With any luck, you'll be able to come up with something fresh and witty that doesn't involve the killing of a board member, inappropriate sex acts or an inventory of your "supposed" wardrobe. I really want to see some effort on your part, Bruce...certainly better than that lame attempt last night...I mean really. We have a viewership on this thread that expects more...I'm doing my part...how about you step up to the plate.

On a separate note, I'll be at the Yankee game on the 22nd...how about we meet up for a beer and continue this banter in person...surely you are a better talker than writer and you'd like the opportunity to tell me how you really feel to my face...you can even bring your five friends, if you like, to provide moral support! But be careful, I'm told I'm a pretty nice guy who's fun to be around and generous when it comes to buying a round of drinks...you might be going home from the game alone...again.

This thread is absolutely ridiculous.

Bruce Dorskind is a troll. You guys keep feeding him. Let him go back to his meaningless life.

This thread should have been locked 150 posts ago. That it wasn't speaks volumes.

Dear Matt

Thanks for the note. We are not in competition with you, nor do we have anything to prove.

Would be happy to meet you at a Yankee game. Unfortunately, we share our seats with two friends (as stated earlier) and they must have the tickets for
that evening.

We will be at the game today (with a close friend) hopefully watching Derek
make history.

Enjoy the sunshine. I am sure our paths will cross at some future date.

I feel like Bruce knows exactly what strings he is pulling and exactly who he is pissing off. For that reason this thread will continue (at least for now). What was that definition of stupidity again? Something like "doing the same thing and expecting a different result."

Also, if I or another moderator were to censor, delete or lock this thread how would we get to know how Bruce feels? I always would prefer to let people hang themselves instead of stopping them from exposing their ways. I don't think I communicated this very well but ya'll get the point. Happy collecting....
I have been in emails with Bruce this morning. I have let him know that if the argumentative issues continue, with him involved, then he won't be able to post on the board. That means he will probably have to change the way he writes on the board. For those that say this should have been locked already.....thanks for your opinion. I disagree. I would rather let things play out for a while. Bruce emailed me first this morning and then we had a nice conversation about his postings. So, we shall see. And still no locked thread .

Bruce,
Just disgusting the comment about children.

A few things...the first amendment does not protect your right to say whatever you want...may want to use that ivy league education to read the consitution one day.

Please answer Adam's question about the museum. I am interested.

You continue to prove that you do not belong with society.

Now that we know where Bruce sits at the Yankee game with clients, wouldn't be fun for someone to drop by and show a printout of is thread to said clients. See who they are doing business with. If you are so concerned about the privacy of your business, I certainly would not post stuff like this on a public forum where anybody doing a google search on Bruce Dorskind, Dorskind Group, etc. might stumble on it.

I think I am going to agree with David today...nothing but a blowhard and possibly a liar (more likely just a bully who blows up his accomplishments to make him sound better and feel better about himself).

Joshua

I do admit that upwards of $ 3500-5500 in rent for a place on 72nd is rather pricey so Bruce must make some money...if you all want to pop by and see his collection he is located at 72nd. He will have to let you in though...no walk ins .

Hey Leon...I guess you conversations with Bruce have resulted in a change to his approach...got a wonderful PM from him this morning and it looks like he's rather engage me directly than in a public forum. If that means that the rest of you don't have to read his schlock, then it's a cross I'm happy to bear. It's obvious he brings nothing to the table and my only purpose in going back and forth with him was to bring out the true Bruce for all to see.

I am not a trouble maker and I've accomplished what I set out to accomplish here. I am through with my end of this thread and appreciate your tolerance while this played out. I can assure you I won't be a p.i.t.a. moving forward and I'm just looking forward getting back to the FUN part of this forum which is talking about baseball, making trades/purchases and sharing new pickups.

To everyone out there on the board who's suffered through this long and admittedly pointless thread, I apologize for sinking to the level of the Bruces...I hope you won't hold it against me and understand that I was just trying to right a wrong. He is what he is and I know nothing I say, do or think will change that. Best wishes to all of you and hoping we can help each other out at some point in the future...

Lastly, to the couple guys who sent me nice notes of support (you know who you are), thanks for doing so and here's hoping we never have to see this kind of immaturity again...take care...

Sadly, $3500-$5500 for an apartment on the UES is nothing. Maybe a decent one bedroom. Crazy how expensive Manhattan is. And I believe that an apartment can't be rent controlled once it's rent is 2K a month and the renter earns more than 175K a year.

Who says the renter earns more than $175k/year? I'll lay odds it's rent controlled.

I remember that Alastair Cooke was still living in his rent-controlled apartment on Park Avenue when he died. He was paying some outrageously low rent. Wouldn't you think he was making more than $175k?

David- my apartment is rent stabilized, and I've had it for 37 years.

Rent stabilization and rent control are two different things.

Shows you what I know! (We own.) However it happens, though, I'm willing to bet Bruce is not paying market rates. (And, for all we know, it may be a one-bedroom, too.)

Of course it's a high-end building. Are there any other kind on E. 72nd? He still ain't paying market rates, though.

Tell me, Barry, when you where there, did you run into any of his staff?

Actually I did, he does have a secretary or assistant and I've seen her at least once. Don't know any details though.

No butler? Cook? Valet? Live-in housekeeper? Chauffeur?

Tell me, Barry, when you where there, did you run into any of his staff?
A two bedroom on East 72 by the river could be had for 5K. And for rent control, you can make more than 175K a year but not for two years in a row (once the rent exceeds 2K). Lots of renters delay income until the following year to purposely keep their income lower in the year following their 175K+ income year.

In a building like mine, which has some rent stabilized and some market value apartments, if I were to move the apartment would destabilize and the next tenant would be charged full market rate. Income has nothing to do with it.

But them to actually write them out or verbalize them is even worse. The thoughts you have of young children is just weird. Enough said.

Awesome! Now we can get back to learning about and sharing in this awesome hobby. I know I have contributed to Bruce getting all worked up, but I just couldn't stand the way he talked down to people on this message board. Anyway, it's over. I have to admit, it was getting old.

I agree 100%.

I think that's a difference between rent stabilization and rent control.

That is one of the differences. Also, the rent stabilization board meets once a year, in June, to set the new increases for one and two year leases. When you see clips of landlords and tenants screaming at each other, those are owners and tenants in stabilized buildings. I don't believe rent controlled apartments ever have increases.

That's true.

Also, it's amazing the concept of rent control...it's like in just a few cities in America.
