Default T206 Traders

Hello T206 collectors!

I thought it might be fun to have a continuos thread for traders of T206 cards. We can either post cards that we have for trade or put up a list of cards that you need. That way we have a list of people working on the set that would want to work out trades along the way!

I will start with the cards I have available for trade:

All cards are good to vg and raw

Phillippe (Pittsburg), piedmont 350
Pickering (Minneapolis), piedmont 350
Titus (mustache man, Philadelphia), piedmont 350 TRADED
Myers (new York giants), sweet cap 350
Rhodes (St Louis), el principle de gales TRADED
Brain (Buffalo), sweet cap 350
McCormick (new York giants), piedmont 350

Southern Leaguers:

Molesworth (Birmingham), piedmont 350 TRADED
Helm (Columbus), old mill TRADED

If any of these cards interest you and you wanna trade let me know. I need about 318 cards in the set, so there is a good possibility that you probably have a card I need!

Pretty good idea! I'll jump on board.

Currently looking to complete my HOF set. I'm looking for the following graded 3 or 4:

Cobb Bat Off
Huggins Hands at Mouth
Keeler Portrait
Tinker Bat Off

I have for trade:

Young Glove Shows GAI 2.5
Johnson Portrait SGC 20
Mathewson Dark Cap PSA 1
Lajoie Portrait PSA 1
Kelley PSA 3
Gandil SGC 30
Kleinow Boston SGC 10

You can see pics on my picasa link below. Go to the "T206 FS and FT" folder.

Default T206 trades

Think this is a fine idea to set up a list for trading T206s. I have a few duplicates that I'd be looking to trade:
  • Powell as PSA 4 and PSA 5.5 -- can trade either one for a similarly graded (PSA) of a different horizontal card
  • Dougherty (arm in air) - polar bear back, ungraded, will aim to post scan later today, probably GD-VG condition
  • Phillippe - Piedmont back, ungraded, roughly GD-VG condition

Also have several SGC-graded cards for which I'd like to switch over to PSA, simply for consistency with the rest of the graded part of my collection which is mostly PSA (although I do think the SGC grades make for nicer cards). Can trade these for similar condition PSA cards, of identical players or similar commons:
  • Kleinow (Boston), polar bear back, SGC 60
  • Maloney, SC 350 back, SGC 60
  • Owen, SC 150, SGC 60

Let me know if you'd like scans/photos.

Thanks,
--S

Default Success!

Well, thanks to this thread and fellow collectors, I have completed two great trades! I am really hoping that this thread catches on and we have more T206 collectors using this thread to trade and make progress on their sets!

Happy Collecting

Default Did I offer you this already?

Hi again, S,

I'd think this Leifield is VG at least [please tell me what you'd grade it; I'd defer to your expertise]. I decided that I liked my trimmed Leifield enough that I'd keep it and trade my number 1. I need your Phillippe and Dougherty.
Forgive me if I offered you this already; I thought I had, but I may have made a mistake.
I also have an SGC graded 30/2/Good Ganzel that you may not have seen, and I'm also including scans of Barger, Pastorius, and Strang, which I'd say are in the Good range, in case you're interested

Hope to hear from you.

Doug

Hi Doug,

I thought I had replied to your earlier e-mail, but thanks for following up nonetheless. And I hardly consider myself a T206 expert amongst the other members of this forum.

I'm generally trying to collect T206s in slightly higher-grade (eg 4-5s) than what you show here, so I'm gonna pass on your offer. The Phillippe was recently sold on EBay anyway, sorry. But I can sell the Dougherty (arm in air, Polar Bear back) for $35, including shipping.

Thanks,
--S

Default t206's to trade

Hi.
I'm pretty new to this, joined in a couple of months ago and have made several trades already.
Your thread seems right up my alley, as I'm collecting 206's [I have about 210] and have a couple dozen duplicates I'd like to trade for equal value. Unfortunately, the condition of these cards ranges mostly from poor-good, maybe a couple approach very good. I hope I've managed to include some scans. These are all ungraded, and that's what I'm looking for. I have a few more 206's to trade, a few graded, about 10 205's and a few other tobacco cards as well.
Please get in touch if you're interested. I check my email every day, and I'll start logging in to Net 54.

Hopefully,

Doug Doremus

Default A HOFers couple for trade

I only have a few T206s (under 40) ... but I do have one HOFer for trade:

#32 Bender (polar bear back; no trees pitching – fair, back damage, ripped corner)

and one t205 HOFer for trade:

#191 Tinker (poor - major back damage, almost 100% gone)

Don't have scans of these ... but if interested let me know and I'll get one.

Would like similar HOFer for Bender ... will consider whatever for Tinker.

Cheers,
Patrick

Default I have these 2 for trade

I just got a new scanner and have no idea what I'm doing yet. Hopefully these scans will show up. The Chance is the SC back and Willis is the Piedmont. I'd like to trade these for HOFers that I need. I have about half of them, so too many to list. Let me know if interested. These 2 are a little below the condition I collect, so I would consider trading both of these for 1 nicer condition card I need. In particular, Keller port, Bender port, Tinker port. Thanks for looking.

Hi, Jeff.

I need the Phillippe, Brain, and Meyers [if it's the portrait].

I have a Barger, Pastorius, Strang, Leifield, and Ganzel in G-VG.
I'm including scans.

Hope to hear from you.

Doug

WTB T206 Cobb bat on and Cobb green portrait. Prefer low grade to beater, but would consider 2s and 3s.
